Say “I Love You” and love the Bloomington Community Band too on February 11. The BCB’s Valentine Benefit Dinner will kickoff our 2012 Endowment Fund campaign.

As part of its Matchstick program, the Community Foundation will MATCH $1 for every $2 we earn, once we reach our $40,000 goal for 2012.

Band members will entertain with Swing era and German band music. We will also hold a silent auction for a wide assortment of great items.

There will be a silent auction during the benefit dinner.

Income from the Endowment will help ensure the long-term viability of the BCB by providing a modest stipend for the Music Director (named in honor of the band’s first director, Newell Long) and will also support a Library School student to work with the BCB’s extensive music library (in honor of long-time IU Music librarian Ralph Papakhian).

BY RESERVATION ONLY, due by January 30. Tickets ARE $30 per person ($15 of which is tax deductible), and may be purchased by check, payable to BCB and sent to P.O. Box 237, Bloomington, IN 47402.
